Our involvement often starts with mid or later stage technical development and production engineering moving a concept or existing line into new production. We then deliver your item in your brand style to you. The service can include everything from prototyping to the testing and accreditation of products through to booking freight services. Increasingly clients are involving us earlier to assess concepts and pre empt production issues.

Our work on product simplification often leads to a saving on manufacturing costs.

We offer a network of approved workshops and factories linked by Tunnelight. We source and build products applying our standards of quality and organisation. Your brand gets an established producer with its own in-house engineering, QC and shipping departments.​​​​

Initial viability studies and design projects are undertaken on a consultancy basis, production development is via deposit with final supply on a trade sale basis. We have an in house QC team for the PRC and seldom experience quality issues.

​Background
​
Tunnelight was founded in Hong Kong in 1999 by designer & engineer Steve Jones. Since then it has handled production for many high end European and North American lighting & furniture brands. We have also worked widely developing ranges for retailers.The company has sources for manufacture in the UK, China, Spain, Italy, India, Poland & Indonesia.

In 2019 we started the technical consultancy offering both production engineering and a full product development service of both lighting and furniture from concept to delivery. We design and build product both for ongoing ranges and bespoke projects such as hotels and other venues.
 
Since 2018 the company has been based in London and has offices in China managing production for a variety of international clients. The company is managed by Steve Jones and Annie Deng, Tunnelight's head of operations.
